If the acting career doesn't work out, Michelle Williams and Anna Faris should consider careers in extreme sports.

The petite blondes were spotted in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico earlier this month pulling off some extreme moves that are not for the faint of heart.

Wearing jeans, trainers, a grey sweatshirt and sturdy gloves, 35-year-old Anna held on tight to a rope and rappelled down a steep cliff.

The House Bunny star was joined by a group of famous friends including her blonde buddy Michelle who just clinched a Golden Globe Award for her performance in My Week with Marilyn.

Anna, Michelle, Anna's husband, Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt, and the band Grizzly Bear all went on an eight hour horseback ride as well.

Michelle, 31, could been seen posing on a horse parked on top of a very large rock.

The star was seen in a green waxed jacket, a striped jumper and jeans as she sat perched on her steed.

Michelle opted out of wearing a riding hat despite the steep route instead simply shielding her eyes from the light in sunglasses.

The actress' six-year-old daughter Matilda, whose father is the late actor Heath Ledger, was also spotted riding a horse.

The action packed getaway was part of a Coyote Canyon Adventures trip.

Michelle, 31, frequently visits Mexico and has talked about visiting the country in past interviews.

During a chat with Jay Leno earlier this month, she said: 'I went on a vacation for the first time in a long time. I went to Mexico.

'It turned into more of an adventure vacation than a relaxing vacation.'

Michelle added: 'I thought it was going to be one of those slow, sort of amble through the hills and you take a lot of photos and take in like the beautiful scenery.

'We went down ravines, we went trekking. It was an eight hour horseback ride.'

She continues: 'At first I wanted to turn back, because we were going down ravines and I don't think horses hooves have traction.

'I likened it to be piggybacked by a drunk person who has no personal investment in you and will throw you at anytime to save themselves,' Michelle joked.

But Michelle should be careful, as she will need to be in top form to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards next weekend where she is nominated in the Best Actress Category.

The blonde beauty is also expected to garner an Oscar nomination on Tuesday when the nominees are announced.
